Early United States Commemorative Coins

U.S. Coins For Sale:

Commemorative coins are coins that have been minted to commemorate a particular event, person or organization. Early U.S. Commemorative Coins are considered to be coins minted from 1892 to 1954. In the early part of 1954, the United States Mint was heavily criticized for producing commemorative coin issues of questionable recognition, and seemingly endless mint runs of coins with little or no demand. The period of early commemorative coins produced ended in 1954 with the issue of the Washington–Carver commemorative half dollar.
