A reference list for U.S. coin collectors of semi-key date and rare key date U.S. Lincoln Wheat Cent coins by date,
mintmark and number of coins minted. The Lincoln Wheat Cent minted from 1909 to 1958 is also referred to by many
coin collectors as wheat penny, wheatback, wheat head, and wheatie.
The coins obverse and the reverse were designed by sculptor Victor David Brenner.
Brenner's intitials were displayed on the coins reverse during the first year of the coins issue in 1909 and later removed that same year.
